The keyboard correction runs on Windows. Other platforms do not receive it.
Test a number-key action#
- Open Project Settings → Plugins → Any Keyboard Layout.
- Leave Digits enabled.
- Use a gameplay action bound to One through Zero, such as a hotbar slot.
- Select a Windows keyboard layout whose number row normally types letters or symbols.
- Start Play In Editor and focus the game viewport.
- Press the number-row key and check the action.
Switch between installed Windows layouts with Win+Space. You can use an Enhanced Input mapping or an existing legacy action mapping.
Check typing too#
Focus a text box and type with that same layout. The text should remain what the keyboard layout normally produces.
Try positional movement#
Enable Physical to place gameplay bindings by US-QWERTY position. On AZERTY, the keys labeled ZQSD then operate WASD bindings.
Before using this mode in a finished game, update key prompts with Get Key Display Name (Keyboard Layout) and review any saved custom bindings.
