Add box, sphere, or capsule physics volumes to an Actor Blueprint. Use them for swimming areas, gravity changes, and enter or leave reactions, with filters that choose which actors are affected.
Build a volume into a prop#
Add a Physics Volume Box, size it in the Blueprint viewport, and enable Water Volume for a swimming area. The volume follows the actor when it moves or is duplicated.
Use Physics Volume Sphere for a rounded field, or Physics Volume Capsule for a taller rounded space.
Learn the workflow#
- Getting started: build and test a first volume.
- User manual: shapes, settings, events, and runtime changes.
- Water and gravity: swimming and low-gravity examples.
- Filters and collision: decide which actors are affected.
- Overlapping volumes and multiplayer: priorities and shared play sessions.
- Blueprint nodes: every node, event, and setting you can use in Blueprints.
- Feature reference: defaults, which volume applies, replication, and messages.
