Make a hotbar layout-independent#

Bind the hotbar to One through Zero and leave Digits enabled. Test it on a layout such as Czech or French, where the unshifted number row normally types something else.

Check the action in the focused game viewport, then check that typing in chat still produces the expected characters.

Digits mode keeps normal letter bindings based on their labels. It does not automatically turn AZERTY letter controls into positional WASD.

Correct editor number shortcuts#

Leave Fix Number Row In Editor and Digits enabled to use number shortcuts such as viewport bookmarks and view modes with those layouts; the editor fix needs both.

This option changes number-row shortcuts, not editor letter shortcuts. Simulate In Editor follows the editor setting.

Use the key left of 1 for the console#

Leave Console Key enabled and ensure Project Settings → Engine → Input → Console Keys includes Tilde.

The correction does not add a console to a build that does not provide one. Layouts with a digit on that key keep their digit behavior.

Use that key for gameplay instead#

Turn Console Key off if the game needs that key's own binding.

Physical mode is a separate choice: when enabled for gameplay, that position reports Tilde. Review your mapping and the project's console binding together if you use Physical mode.
