The panel is missing#
Confirm the plugin is enabled and restart the editor. Open Tools → Bulk Recompile, or look under Tools → Miscellaneous. Current releases use the Tools menu.
A run will not start#
Stop Play In Editor and wait for any save operation to finish. Close blocking editor dialogs, then try again.
Packaging still reports stale assets#
Check that saving was enabled and the summary has no save failures. Use Recompile Everything so the related asset types are processed together. Include plugin content if the affected asset lives in a plugin.
If everything appears up to date, try Only recompile assets that are out of date together with Force-save every asset, after creating a checkpoint.
A row says Error#
Open the asset and resolve its compiler message. Repeating the same run cannot repair invalid Blueprint logic or an unsupported struct field.
A struct is Skipped (unsafe)#
Keep Skip structs that would crash the editor enabled. Inspect the assets named in the row. If resaving is enough for your packaging issue, use the workflow above. Contact support if compilation of that struct is still required.
Files failed to save#
Check source-control checkout status and file permissions. Make the files writable using your normal project workflow, rerun, and verify the save-failure count.
A run stops or the editor becomes unstable#
Restart the editor. Try Collect garbage after every asset and keep the unsafe-struct check enabled. Report a repeated failure with the last asset, selected options, and summary.
A packaged game requests Bulk Recompile#
Update the plugin. Projects that enabled an early release may retain an old project setting; send the exact startup message to Support for help correcting it.
Report a problem#
Enable Problems only, press Copy, and include the summary, plugin and engine versions, selected options, and steps that reproduce the issue.
