Two ways to paste#

Press Ctrl+V with the Components panel focused, or right-click a component there and choose Paste Actors as Components.

Both routes work in an Actor Blueprint's Components panel and in a selected level actor's Details → Components list.

The context-menu entry appears only when the clipboard contains copied level actors. The regular paste workflow keeps those actors available on the clipboard for another paste.

Choose a destination#

Select the root to add the pasted set under it. With another component selected, the editor adds the pieces beside that component, under the same parent. Clicking the Blueprint viewport or graph does not focus the Components panel.

What is included#

Meshes, material overrides, component properties, and relative placement are preserved. Attachments within the copied set are kept.

Include Non Scene Components controls components without a transform. Editor-only actors and components are excluded by default; helper visualization components are skipped.

Handle Blueprint actors#

Child Actor Component keeps the actor's Blueprint behavior and its level-instance edits. Flatten To Components gives you editable components but does not copy the actor's graph behavior.

See Blueprint actors and attachments before choosing.

Read the notification#

An actor with nothing pastable is reported by name. Group containers do not become components, but their copied members can.

Undo and save#

Use Ctrl+Z to undo a paste. Compile the Blueprint and check the result in a placed instance before saving your finished assembly.
